We are finally making some great progress. Thank you to everyone who has emailed and sent us messages of support, critique, anger and happiness. As well as posting to this blog and leaving comments. You have been really patient and very supportive, this drives us. We are working hard each day to bring something to final product release. Today we want to show you a teaser of what we hope to release soon. It’s our development sandbox, where we view, check and inspect (in detail) our models. Our early products will be based around this “Pleasure Sandbox”
.
To get in the mood, whilst you read, please check out this track (a song waiting for VR to arrivee):
VEIVIEV’s brand is close! We are still waiting on the registered trademarks to come through. We should have a YES or NO next month. Our release hinges on that, and that’s what has delayed product release. But this has given us time to really fine tune our pipeline. Listed below are some images to show first hand how much art time goes into each sculpt. These are based on photogrammetry scans but they are in essence hand crafted sculptures.
We are artisans, we don’t rush through a RAW scan. Hours and hours will be put into each pose, from model booking, direction, RAW processing and then from sculpting to real-time conversion. This clean PBR process is integral for real-time ‘interaction’. We want to take as much care as possible.
Technically, we have to generate a ton of different maps that our custom Unity shaders can read in. These help control how light is distributed and how it interacts with the surface of the models. Distinguishing texture, shape, occlusion and other physically based factors. This takes time and care to make sure every micro mm on the skin, is near perfect.
The final models won’t be absolutely perfect but we are doing our best to make sure they are as pleasurable as possible, without breaking immersion.
Example Pipeline
Frozen Moments In Time
This is what our products (experiences) will be based around. Frozen moments in time. we are not making a game, or social experience. There are other products out there being developed for that. Imagine having your own personal VR ‘Adult‘, ‘Madame Tussauds‘ type experience but something that feels more real (fleshy) and more alive, that you can manipulate. We are working on finding new models to pose for us, so we hope to cater for everyone.
Will VEIVIEV have male models?!!? Yes, we have this planned for the future.
The experiences will be of static scans, erotically posed. To start with they will be static but we have grand plans for 10 digit hand interaction, physics and animation. It’s all possible but it takes time and money, so we want to test the water first. We will need your support to build our pipeline further.
Will our fans support us? Help us grow? We need you.

Capture Process
Due to the nature of the DK2 it was VERY difficult to record any kind of footage at high resolution _DirectToRift and at 1080p. I was able to use OBS to do this and cut the footage together. Some of the cuts can be jarring and the video really doesn’t show off the detail in the experience. Although it doesn’t seem like it in the video, we are also able to hit a consistent 75fps in DirectToRift mode, able to also match 90fps if needed. 120fps is possible but we will need to optimize some of the assets.
The teaser video features only a few models from a HUGE collection of poses and models that we have on file (literally 1000’s). All are being carefully processed into the custom pipeline.
The video can be viewed in the Rift but the credits will look broken, there will be some stutter from the capture process and depth may seem a little screwy but in person it’s pretty cool to use!!
OVR 0.4.3 was released on Friday but we dare not touch it, as it will break some of our scripts that we have been working hard to fix for the last month. So we might need to hold off on release until the dust has settled.
What’s Next?
Release.
It means having to wait a little longer but we are very close. We wont be giving away another free demo as we really need to start to generate some revenue to recuperate some of our server and development costs. So we hope to launch some test experiences soon, early products. This will enable us to test the store process, test the server strength, test the experiences and test the payment system ..and get feedback!!
There will be:
No login.
No security password.
No advertising.
No tracking.
We have ditched these. In the hope that piracy will be at a minimum. If we do get heavily pirated …then we may have to introduce some of these measures.
Our burn rate each month is quite minimal. Server costs are the biggest hit, as downloads increase so do the Amazon server costs. Anything that could be made from the experiences being sold $, will go straight back into development. Hiring new models, processing more data and improving our tools!!
We hope you enjoy the teaser and would love to hear your feedback. Thank you.
V
Thnx for this great news and preview!
I’ll will for sure support you! 😀
Thank you Spyah.
sounds great.
Just a couple of suggestions…
1) Having the viewer free with a single pose available in high resolution for free
2) Having “previews” which are poses in very very low resolution (enough so you can get a good feel for what the pose is and the model used). These can then perhaps be purchased either in packs or as singles.
Thanks VR Guy. That might be possible. We will think on it.
Full resolution previews would make more sense since you could see the detail in them, which is important, but censor them strategically.
This would also generate wider publicity in safe-for-work form.
This is a nice idea but not feasible as content can easily be ripped. We can show case lower resolution scans and textures, so it wont be so bad if these are ripped but still not ideal. 3D browser viewing technology has very poor security.
Sorry for GOOGLE TRANSLATOR
Very very nice work. My MASTERCARD is ready for shopping. You will first and if you offer interesting products – then you’re millionaires. Do something like ABBYWINTERS but with a bonus for oculus. It would be interesting to see a pretty girl talking on video, then view the photo and finally closeup body in Oculus. 😀
Thanks gortu, interesting ideas. If we can afford to hire the talent, we will try.
Wow,looking great!
I really love the work you have done so far,the models ,the poses, all great.
You have my support(and my money 😉 )
Thanks Adenan, that’s great to hear. We love support from open minded people.
Firs of all, amazing work! You have a new customer.
Also, what gortu suggested is a great idea. Actually, since there will be no animation for some time, it would be interesting to also have each model as a 3d video projection in 3d space (the way Kite & Lightning is doing it) dancing and posing- like holograms. And then, as a main attraction, have a full frozen 3d scans of that girl.
I’m sure this would add a great value to your application and bring you even more customers.
Thanks Gregasy. The video projection technique, whilst novel, isn’t really something we want to spend time exploring. I personally wouldn’t enjoy looking at a 3D girl being projected onto a flat 2D card that follows me. It sounds cool but in practice is pretty bland. No multi lighting. You have to view from a fixed distance. You cannot view from any angle, the cards will camera face and follow you, the video will be low quality. We have the tech but don’t think it worth exploring. 4D. Now there is something. With our current solution interactivity is vast. You WILL be able to touch and manipulate these scans, our early tests are proving to be rather cool! Think LEAP and finger tracking.
Guys looks great! Have you ever thought of rendering it to 360 degree video so it can be available on the gear vr? That would be amazing and get you a lot of early exposure.
Thanks. Yes we’ve thought about it but there are other sites that offer this. We will try and support content for GearVR, if it’s open to adult content, which I don’t think it is.
Great!, you also should consider that models use sexy clothes too, that could bring a lot more variety, if you know what I mean.
All of them have outfit, we just haven’t shown them yet 🙂 Most will strip tease down to nude.
I hope you guys will have multiple options of purchase and not just some monthly subs.
Also
Paypal, bitcoin and everything else are highly appreciated as alternatives to credit card.
ps. Awesome job 😉
We support Bitcoin, CCBill (VIsa, MasterCard etc) and PayMill. We will try PayPal but that account will be closed very quickly, as they do not support any kind of adult content. Thanks for your ideas and support.
Give the model’s eyes a little more love.
The eyes are maybe gonna break the illusion of an otherwise perfect render of a real person,y’know, if the eyes are not lifelike…
Like putting together a stuffed animal, you want the eyes to give your creation it’ soul.
Other than that every detail looks great! Good job!
Thanks, we are well aware of our technical contraints. Bare in mind this is being rendered in Unity, in VR, in real-time at very high frame rates. No one has done this before. We’re working on solving realism and have been for over 10 years. It will take time. When was the last time you looked at someone in the eyes who had been frozen in time? It’s gonna feel a little weird 🙂 Bare with us
And if the eyes could follow you round that would be so cool!
Something for the future for sure.
Congratulations, Looks Fantastic!
Now hurry up and take my money please! []-)
Thanks Morgan!
Will there be different make up options? Hoping for the option to change it yourself
Kaeric. You have a keen eye. Yes we already have that feature.
I’m loving this. Any idea of prices so far?
I also believe the “one model / on pose” free version would be a great tease for people to want to invest.
Congratulations. Terrific job.
Thanks for your support DiVR. Pricing will be around the £10-£20 initially, as the store begins to fill, prices will come down.
Is the Rift a requirement to use your products ? I don´t have a dk2 because I am waiting for the consumer verison. But i’ve tried a previus demo you´ve made in 2d on my 1440p screen. And just seeing it like that was very cool and I would be willing to pay for just that experience and support you. And will you be able to customize the resolution and other graphical options to take advantage of the lateset graphic cards? The consumer version of the rift will be atleast 1440p or 4K so I hope you will support that.
Best viewed on the Rift yes but we do have an option to view in Mono as before. So it’s possible but the models really look best in VR. Resolution and customization is possible.
Will it support the Samsung VR Gear which collaborates with Oculus Rift?
If they don’t have a closed eco system we would most certainly provide.
how many demos are out? where I can see more photos, videos or demos about this project?
I liked this product, I will support this
the demos are compatible with dk1 or dk2? or both?
any release date?
Congratulations, take my money off
please have many pay options
NO demos yet. We hope to launch soon. DK2 primarily Thanks for your interest.
Will you guys have a “complete” package with everything included and will it be relatively affordable (as in a couple hundred $$$ at most)?
Good call on allowing bitcoin, some people, myself included, don’t want veiviev on transaction history for obvious reasons.
Yes it will be affordable. Even if you use CCBill VEIVIEV or the branding wont show on your card. CCBILL are discreet, so are PayMill.
This looks awesome. Looking forward to supporting you guys. Would love to see bustier models. Some one like jayden jaymes.
Thanks! So would we, have plans for a diverse range.
Wow what for a update, thanks for the Video can’t wait to see your product, my Visa is ready for you 🙂 hope to see the product soon
Laudrac. Great, thank you for your support.
no mac view record…. :((((( plz mac version added
When it will be released? Can you give a time range?
Within a week? Within a month? Within a year?
No time frame. It will be released when it’s ready.
This looks great and I can’t wait until it’s available. You have my support and I will probably buy whatever you guys decide to sell just to support you.
btw I think it would be great if you would post the video in a format supported by MaxVR (https://share.oculusvr.com/app/maxvr). I bought MaxVR because I find it cumbersome to view 3D/oculus movies on the DK2 in legacy (extended) mode.
Thank you for your support. We will look into supporting MaxVR if possible.
Hi, this may not be the proper place to report this, but its the newest 😛
I finally found out why the 64-bit version wasn’t working on my win 8.1 machine. I was using the normal zip extraction that came with the OS and it would seem to unpack correctly but would crash on launch. Using 7-zip to properly extract the files fixed everything. May be something to note in future zipped releases.
That’s great information, thank you for sharing.
This stuff blows my mind! Can’t wait for the first release! Take my money!
On another note when I was checking out Lucid Dreams v2 demo, the girls being all frozen was slightly creepy. I think it would be over-the-top creepy if you had the same demo, but randomly they shift to look at you while you’re not looking…weeping angel style :S
Thanks for your support and feedback. Eye shifting might be possible in later releases, we will work on that.
How many different models (as in people, not 3d models) are you going to launch with?
There will be a small selection of about 4 to start with.
So what kind of control will we have over the environment with the first release? Lights to maneuver like in one of your preview videos? The make-up sliders you mentioned earlier?
I think I remember reading in one of the old veiviev posts that you don’t intend to provide actual modeled rooms like in the “Naked Models in UE4” post. But I may be imagining that >.>
Speaking of that, do you suppose we will be able to import our own models or environments into the sandbox to pair with the veiviev scans? It would be pretty cool to construct a personal environment to pose the models in.
You will be able to change light positions. Rooms will follow next year once Unity has better graphical enhancements like SSR (Reflections) We might be able to offer model import in the future if we get the support.
Enough with the good news Veiviev , I know its tough decision but its okay to release it ….just name your price and do it……
We are working hard.
Just wondering if you do an other round of Beta testing, would also pay to beta test like many other Project i Support for the oculus. So interest is there from my site.
Thanks for your support.
Veiviev you might want to hurry
https://playgirls.Tokyo is releasing in four days, same thing as you guys. scanned models, but these guys are using famous actresses apparently.
Thanks we’re in no hurry. We’re well aware of these guys. They are focused on rigged scanned models that really don’t look that great and never really will until 4D is used in the pipeline. Best of luck to them 🙂 FYI GOOGLE Playgirls at your peril! They might have some troubles if they become popular using that name, as there are conflicting trademarks.
Indeed,those girls look very artificial.
No comparison to what you/we got here 🙂
(sorry for double post)
This looks amazing, even without VR.
I only have one question, will we able to remove these red pillows?
No. Not all poses will have them.
What’s the percentage???
What do you mean?
What he meant is your working progress in percentage.
That I don’t have a number for at the moment.
When you release this for DK2 will you still be able to change the scale?
It should be possible. We will look into it.
You know, if you need cash, just ask for it kickstarter style. All you have to say is, ‘this will get us to release faster, everyone give us $60’. And, like, we would. Anyone with a DK2 has disposable income. The only thing you’d have to do is promise to spoil the early adopters.
Thanks. Yes we are thinking about it. We would have to set-up our own crowd-funding project directly on the site as there are no crowd-funding companies that accept adult projects and for the amount we need to raise. It’s good to hear you might be willing to support us this way. We’re looking into what we can do. We’ve already begun developing some merchandise just in case, for the brand, as well as selling 3D ‘adult’ prints, 30cm high, in colour (limited, collectors edition) of some of our models.
There is a website just like kickstarter for adult content. offbeatr.com is just like kickstarter but for adult content.
Thanks.
“We would have to set-up our own crowd-funding project directly on the site as there are no crowd-funding companies that accept adult projects and for the amount we need to raise. ”
Offbeatr has a limit of how much can be raised on their site. $30k I think. It’s not enough for our purposes.
I have seen xmoonproductions get 145% of the money that they needed on offbeatr.com. I think this project should do realy good there asswell
Offbeatr wasn’t interested when we reached out to them. xmoonproductions already had a VERY large fan base to raise interest and funding. We do not as the VR market is very niche at the moment. So Offbeatr cap at $35k. Thanks for your ideas though, we appreciate it.
Hi! I’m dying to know who one of your models is. She is the center piece of Lucid dreams v2 w/ the pink top, she is adorable in that pose and i’d love to look her up. Does she have a website? If not, when are you guys going to release more content of her? Im in love :3
You can try a search for Ariel Anderssen or Amelia Jane Rutherford. More to come.

You should 3d scan a cooked turkey for Thanksgiving day 😛
But seriously, have you scanned non-human things? I was thinking a scanned chair/sofa would be a good object to add to the sandbox. Dunno if it would be better to just use a traditional 3d model instead.
Thanks. We are hand modelling our assets, but plan to investigate environment scanning in the future. It’s only really useful for reference and shape.
Love the oiled effect! The skin looks very good.
Thanks Name a! You have good taste 😉
Welcome Back comments works finally again.
Hope you got your cerification to start with your product. Still hope to see or get the product for the Cristmass break.
Where are the DK2 demo? How many time to release?
Hi Veiviev, can you make a demo/app for android’s Google Cardboard device? I don’t mind if you limit a scene to only 1 model to lower cpu/graphic chips requirements. I have Samsung Galaxy S3 phone.
Be in time for christmas
pls
Any updates? Interested in purchasing.
There is a blog post today with some information.
Any updates on progress? I would love to see something newer than LD V2. Seems like there is a lot of potential here! Are the models going to be animated? Whats your overall vision of what this will be?
Thanks, we released a blog post today. We have big plans on future releases.
Any updates VEIVIEV?
We are releasing a blog post today.
Yes ! I am with you ! 😉
Thanks!
